Face painting is a popular activity during parties and during occasions like Halloween. It involves the application of cosmetic paint on the face and making it as creative as possible. When face painting, it is important to know what kind of paint is ideal to use for the face. Take note that acrylic and tempera paints cannot be used on the face as they can cause allergic reactions in some people. They can also damage the skin permanently. Body Painting Art
American artist Craig Tracy from New Orleans has created a collection that could be regarded as some of the best body painting in the world. Some of his paintings use only human volunteers while on others he merges them with backdrops to give the display depth. Some of his creations are so complex it’s difficult to work out where the bodies start and the background begins like the below “leopard” one.

Famous Body Paintings
Frederick Leighton born in 1830 was a British painter. His paintings covered variety of subject ranging from depiction of historical events to biblical mythology. He painted many frames that could be stamped as classical paintings, too. Leighton had a big group of followers. Queen Victoria was among those who praised and purchased his paintings. The painting titled as Icarus and Daedalus had been one of the most famous artworks done by him. It is based on the mythological story of Daedalus
